Boniface Muchiri gets Harambee Stars call up for the CHAN 2020 Taifa Stars return leg

Nairobi, July 31 2019

SoccerExpo marquee midfielder Boniface Muchiri has been called up to the squad for the African Nations Championship (CHAN) second leg against Tanzania.

Muchiri will be part of the team preparing to face Taifa Stars on August 4th at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani after the 0-0 stalemate in the first leg match in Dar-es-Salaam.

The right-footed Tusker midfielder has been a key player for the 11 times Kenyan Premier League champions, scoring 12 goals last season and becoming the club’s top scorer for that year. In the previous season, Boniface scored eight goals, making him the First Runner’s up to the club’s top scorer Timothy Otieno.

This is what Muchiri wrote on his facebook  after the CHAN 2020 Harambee Stars call up:

“It feels good to be back to the National Team Harambee Stars. It shows my efforts have finally been recognized and it only motivates me moving forward to giving my best at club level and the Country at large”

Well done Muchiri!
